Jenifer Al-Janabi eared her LLB Degree at the University of Leicester before completing her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham. After qualifying as a Solicitor in 2006, Jennifer practiced commercial litigation and employment law at a commercial law firm based in Birmingham.
She soon began to specialise exclusively on employment related matters and gained extensive experience acting on behalf of employees as well as employers. Jennifer has provided advice to employer clients in relation to the breaching of restrictive covenants as well as obtaining injunctive relief and successfully pursuing damages.
Her considerable experience also includes the preparation of employment documentation as well as advice to companies in connection with redundancy selection procedures and disciplinary processes. Jennifer has also provide advice on employment issues arising from the sale or purchase of businesses. This includes acquisitions from companies in administration.
On behalf of her employee clients, she regularly issues claims in the Employment Tribunal, particularly in relation to discrimination and unfair dismissal disputes. Jennifer also specialises particularly in providing advice in relation to settlement agreements. She
discusses with client if the terms being offered to them are fair or if higher levels of compensation can be negotiated on their behalf.
Jennifer is registered with the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority and is a member of The Law Society and the Employment Lawyers Association.
